Tidewater Boats are Built to Last

What is the Big Difference in Tidewater Boats

By Craig Lamb

What truly separates Tidewater Boats from other saltwater boats? It’s the unseen features and quality materials that make a Tidewater not just a boat, but a long-term investment.  Tidewater was established in 2006 with a vision to create a family friendly fishing boat with the most value for the money.  This vision has helped Tidewater become one of the fastest growing boat companies in the world.

Big waves are a given with saltwater boating. Why would anyone want a boat that isn’t built from the inside out to handle any kind of water, and for the life of the boat? Peace of mind, dependability, and confidence are what you get with Tidewater, whose engineers relentlessly design boats to withstand all kinds of water without sacrificing style and comfort.

Tidewater is constantly tooling new products and implementing the latest technology into their boats. Tidewater Boats are designed with distinctive Classic Carolina Flair while maintaining their modern look.  C

Creating a Dry Chine Ride

Another defining Tidewater feature is the Spray Relief Point. That is the point of impact on the hull deflecting water away from the boat. Multiple SRP areas enhance the characteristic dry ride of the Tidewater.

Adding to the wave-taming attributes is the Dry Chine Ride, which adds side-by-side stability to decrease the rolling effects caused by waves. Tidewater hulls are also wider between the chines to eliminate high bow rise. Those design features give the owner more options to rig the boat with outboard horsepower to suit their needs and budget.

Just like the human skeleton, the backbone of a boat is the stringer system. Tidewater goes to extremes by having a specific Corrugated Grid Stringer for each model boat.   Filled with foam to reduce noise and vibration, the Tidewater stringer system creates a rigid, unified construction that tightly secures all of the internal parts. Those include fuel tanks, consoles, seating, and storage compartments that are fastened to the stringer system. To ensure a solid, tight fit, every stringer system is customized for each Tidewater model.

Tidewater leaves nothing out, refusing to cut corners in design and manufacturing, to deliver the most reliable, long-lasting saltwater boats on the market. Composite construction, watertight electrical connections, foam filled hulls, cored decks, and gunwales plus much more are extras that come with the price of a Tidewater.  There is zero wood construction in any part of Tidewater Boats.

Tidewater Boats are laid out with families and serious anglers in mind. Abundant storage, wide consoles for rigging needs, and comfortable seating are the features that are obvious when stepping aboard a Tidewater.
